1:1 Coaching for Small Businesses & Photographers

Most of my week goes to marketing small businesses in Western North Carolina: lodging, a cabin retreat, a wellness clinic, and a nonprofit. I write the captions and newsletters, run the Meta ads, plan the blogs, and make the photographs.

Coaching is that same work, with you in the driver's seat. You keep doing your own marketing. I help you decide what's worth your time, show you how I'd approach it, and look over your drafts while you build the habit.

→ Let me help you make your marketing manageable

Who is this for?

Hospitality, wellness, and service businesses doing their own marketing, or managing a part-time helper, who want a plan they can keep up with in the hours they actually have.

Photographers, especially those who run tours and workshops or sell prints, who are good at making the images and stuck on what to do with them next.

It's probably not a fit if you want someone to take marketing off your plate entirely (my done-for-you services are here), or if you're looking for follower growth hacks. I don't do those for anyone.

What can we work on?

  • A content plan and calendar you'll actually follow
  • Instagram and Facebook: what to post, how often, and captions that sound like you
  • Email newsletters: growing the list, segmenting it, and writing subject lines people open
  • Meta ads: budgets, audiences, and retargeting
  • Blog content that gets found in Google and in AI search tools like ChatGPT
  • Your brand voice, including how to use AI writing tools without sounding like everyone else
  • For photographers: filling tours and workshops, pricing, and turning a portfolio into marketing

How much does content marketing Consulting cost?

Strategy Session: $175. One focused hour on a single question, like a launch, a stalled Instagram account, or whether to try ads. You get the recording and a short written action list within 48 hours.

Content Strategy Intensive: $450. Before we meet, I audit your website, social accounts, and email. Then we spend 90 minutes on a call, and within 48 hours I send you a written 90-day plan.

Monthly Coaching: $350 a month, 3-month minimum. One 60-minute call a month, plus written feedback on your posts, emails, or ads between calls. I keep only a few of these spots open at a time, so it starts with a free 15-minute intro call to make sure it's a good fit.

If you start with a Session or Intensive and move into Monthly Coaching within 30 days, that fee counts toward your first month.

Sessions are on Zoom and paid when you book. Reschedule up to 24 hours ahead; sessions are non-refundable once held.

FAQ

What results have you gotten for clients?

For an independent lodging property in Western North Carolina, newsletter open rates rose from 55% to 73% over about a year. Most of that came from one decision in April: we stopped sending to subscribers who never opened. The list got smaller and the numbers got honest. Over the same year, their Meta ads cost per click fell from $0.28 to $0.11.

Is Consulting different from hiring a marketing agency or freelancer?

Yes, in who does the work. With an agency or freelancer, they create and publish your content. With consulting, you do, and I make sure the effort goes somewhere.

My done-for-you monthly marketing costs several times what consulting does, so consulting is a good fit for businesses with more time than budget, or anyone who wants to understand their own marketing before handing it off.

Can I use AI to write my marketing?

You can. The quality depends almost entirely on what you give it: your voice, your facts, your examples. That part is the work most people skip, and it's something we can build together.

Is the Consulting virtual?

Yes. All sessions are on Zoom, so location doesn't matter.

Do I need to be making Reels?

Probably not as many as you think. Reels work, but they take a lot of time to do well. For most small businesses I work with, a carousel with a thoughtful caption takes about a quarter of the time and performs as well or better, and it keeps getting shown longer. We'll look at your own numbers and decide from there.

Who is Tanya Triber?

I'm a photographer and content marketer based in Asheville, North Carolina. I've spent nearly two decades in social media marketing, earned a master's in digital marketing from Rutgers, and worked agency-side before going independent in 2025.

I'm also a landscape photographer, which means I know exactly how easy it is to let your own marketing slide. (The cobbler's children, and all that.)
